How Subsidy Works with Loan

1

You Pay 10% Upfront (Co-Payment)

For a loan up to β‚Ή2 lakh, you pay 10% of project cost upfront to Zolar Roof. For loans above β‚Ή2 lakh, 20% co-payment is required. This is mandatory as per Central Government guidelines.

2

Bank Disburses Directly to Zolar Roof

The bank disburses the loan amount (90% or 80%) directly to Zolar Roof's account. You don't need to handle large cash payments. Zolar Roof then proceeds with material procurement and installation.

3

Installation & Commissioning

Zolar Roof completes the installation, KSEB net meter installation and commissioning. Your solar system is now live and generating power β€” your electricity bills start reducing immediately.

4

Subsidy Application on PMSG Portal

We apply for your PMSG subsidy on the national portal (pmsuryaghar.gov.in) with your loan account number and KSEB commissioning details. This is done by Zolar Roof on your behalf.

5

Subsidy Credited to Your Loan Account

Within approximately 30 days of commissioning, Government of India credits the subsidy (up to β‚Ή78,000 for 3kW) directly to your SBI loan account. Your loan principal reduces automatically, and your EMI may be revised downward.

6

You Enjoy Solar + Reduced EMIs

After subsidy adjustment, your effective EMI reduces. Meanwhile, your electricity bills are significantly lower. The monthly savings from solar can actually be higher than your loan EMI β€” making solar truly self-financing!

πŸ’‘ Example Calculation: 3 kW System

Total System Cost: ~β‚Ή1,80,000 (approximate)
10% Co-Payment: β‚Ή18,000 (paid upfront by customer)
Bank Loan: β‚Ή1,62,000 @ 6% for 84 months β†’ EMI: ~β‚Ή2,380/month
PMSG Subsidy: β‚Ή78,000 (credited within 30 days)
Effective Loan after subsidy: ~β‚Ή84,000 β†’ Revised EMI: ~β‚Ή1,235/month

Average Monthly KSEB Bill Savings (300 units household): ~β‚Ή2,200/month
Net Monthly Benefit: β‚Ή2,200 savings βˆ’ β‚Ή1,235 EMI = β‚Ή965 positive cash flow every month!
